JOB OVERVIEW:

FSC Soccer Academy are seeking qualified and experienced soccer trainer to work within the local community. The coaches will be part of a professional team of staff whose responsibilities will include delivering training sessions for local recreational and travel soccer programs and for FSC Academy programs at The Fields Sports Complex in East Brunswick and surrounding areas. FSC Trainers must have a professional approach, be enthusiastic, energized and engaging at all times and be able to cater for various age groups and ability levels from 4-year-old to 19-year-old.

We are currently looking for employees to start in Spring 2021 and be part of the busy Spring season and beyond. Contracts can be flexible or on a seasonable basis including for example:

Spring/Summer

Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter

 

GENERAL ASSIGNMENTS:

You will be assigned work based on FSC needs and coaching availability during the Spring. Working hours will mainly be weekday evenings and some Saturdays/Sundays.

 

1. Recreational and Travel Team Training Spring (ages 4-18): 

You will work with local community recreational and travel teams on weekday evenings for approximately 10 weeks. Depending on the contract and community club needs you may be required to provide game day management which will usually be on the weekend.You may be required to deliver coaching clinics for volunteer coaches once or twice per season.

   2. FSC Soccer Academy Spring and Fall( ages 5 – 18):

You will work at The Fields Sports Complex training players in the FSC Academy during Spring and Fall.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

• Training staff will attend a brief meeting once a week at The Fields Sports Complex where any relevant training and business related matters will be addressed.

• At the end of the season (Spring and Fall only) coaches will be expected to write evaluations for all Travel Team players that they have trained.

​

REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 1 years coaching soccer with youth players at any level.

• Minimum US Soccer Grass Roots license or equivalent (such as UEFA, FA, SFA, FAI)

• Clean Full Driver’s License and own car (please do not apply if you do not have a driver’s license/car).

• All successful applicants will require a full background check.

 

EQUIPMENT & UNIFORM:

• FSC Soccer Academy will supply each coach with equipment and apparel for you to be able carry out your training role professionally. This will include soccer balls; discs/cones; pinnies/vests; equipment bag. Expected uniform will be shirts, shorts, socks, pants, jacket. Equipment and uniform is the property of FSC Soccer Academy and you are responsible for taking care of it while it is in your possession, and returning it at the end of your contract with us.

 

Job Type: Part-time
